Foil-Grip 1402 is a UL Classified, pressure-sensitive, 40 year cycle, duct joint and general-purpose rolled mastic sealant tape. It has superior tack and provides an instant water-resistant and air-tight grip on sheet metal duct, flexible air duct and PVC-coated duct. The foil facer/butyl adhesive composite provides excellent UV resistance coupled with outstanding water resistance. Easily teared by hand, it provides fast installation to achieve airtight seals. Unlike thinner mil products such as acrylic tape, this 17 mil mastic tape can cover surface imperfections in metal work, seal around screws without tearing and maintain a tight seal across angle changes. Foil-Grip 1402 is designed to seal ductwork in installations, change outs and retrofit applications and is also suitable in below grade applications on PVC-coated duct.
